World Cancer Day - February 4

In recognition of World Cancer Day on February 4, The Louisiana Cancer Research Center Office of Community Outreach and Engagement will present a community event to raise awareness about cancer risk and prevention. We will be joined by our partners at the Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living, an LCRC program, as well as our Community Health Workers assigned to the region.

Attendees will learn about cancer prevention, early detection, and other useful programs and resources. “We will be distributing information about cancer resources and prevention as well as answering questions from the community,” said Raenique Sylve, MPH, LCRC Program Manager- Community Outreach and Engagement.
