Research interests include establishing the essential need for new medications and evaluating new medications comparatively in real-world applications and health care equity in access, quality, and outcome.
On-going study examines racial disparity in follow-up care among work-age breast cancer survivors and explores the application of machine learning on documenting racial/ethnic disparities and their influencing factors.
I have broad experience in health outcomes and health disparity research, particularly in the area of disease management of chronic conditions (i.e., diabetes) by using big databases to generate real-world evidence. I have published and presented a series of studies concerning racial/ethnic disparities in the use of preventive care and advanced treatment in people with diabetes.
