Tung-Sung Tseng MS DrPH

Associate Professor, Behavioral & Community Health

Dr. Tung-Sung Tseng's research focuses on understanding the disparities and  ocial determinants of health of cancer and smoking behaviors among cancer survivors, ethnic minorities, and underserved populations. His expertise includes cancer, tobacco control, obesity, health disparities, genetic and behavioral interactions, community-based participatory research (CBPR), implementation sciences, behavioral intervention, and evaluation methods (community assessment, social media, big data, GIS, AI, and smart devices).

Dr. Tseng worked on several collaborative and multi-disciplinary research projects that are closely related to tobacco control, obesity, and cancer prevention among ethnic minorities and underserved populations, including using low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) lung cancer screening to increase smoking cessation among African Americans and dietary monitoring and control using Augmented Reality (AR) Glasses for colorectal cancer prevention in African Americans.
