Tong Wu MD PhD

Professor Marguerite Main Zimmerman Chair in Basic Cancer Research

Dr. Wu’s laboratory has been using a wide range of in vitro and in vivo model systems to characterize the roles of epigenetics, epitranscriptomics, microRNAs, long non-coding RNAs, eicosanoids, and other key signaling molecules (including TGF-β, EGFR, hedgehog, notch, Hippo/YAP and Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways, among others) in hepatobiliary cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocarcinoma (CCA).  We strive to identify new mechanisms of hepatobiliary carcinogenesis and to provide new implication for the treatment of hepatobiliary cancers.
