Dr. Yu received a PhD in Statistics from the Ohio State University in 2006. She is currently a professor and the Director of Biostatistics at the LSUHSC. Dr. Yu is interested in developing statistical methods for public health, health care, clinical and lab research. She has collaborated closely with numerous academic and professional researchers. Dr. Yu is currently a PI, MPI, and co-Investigator for multiple NIH-funded projects. Dr. Yu is a regular reviewer for NIH study sections and a member of multiple NAACCR research committees. She is also a member of the American Statistical Association and International Society of Bayesian Analysis. Dr. Yu has published more than a hundred peer-reviewed papers on statistical methodology development and collaborations. She is also an author of the book "Statistical Methods for Mediation, Confounding and Moderation Analysis Using R and SAS" (ISBN: 9780367365479).Dr. Yu’s research interests include Bayesian Modeling, Bayesian Clinical Trial, Causal Effect Analysis, Computational Method, Health Disparities, Machine Learning and Data Mining, Mediation Analysis, Spatial Analysis and Survey Research.In her spare time, Dr. Yu is a chief judge for the USA Swimming and teaches at the New Orleans Chinese School.,
