Jay Kolls, MD

Professor of Medicine & Pediatrics, John W Deming Endowed Chair in Internal Medicine

Mylab is interested in immunology and inflammation with a particular interest inCD4+ T cells including regulatory T cells and Th17 cells that have beenimplicated in cancer.  My lab hasextensively used RNAseq and single cell sequencing to study T –cells duringinflammation and how they signal to neighboring tissues.  We established the CTRII NGS core in 2017 ( https://medicine.tulane.edu/centers-institutes/tulane-center-translational-research-infection-inflammation) which supports single cell chemistriesacross the Tulane Campus.  We also havean interest in immunotherapy using cytokines or CAR-T cells.   I can contribute my expertise in immunologyas well as expertise in single cell genomics. My lab has partnered with other labs on head and neck cancer, lungcancer as well as mesothelioma.  I havealso been MPI on a P30 grant as lead of a NGS core.
